Intervista con il Titolare
Intervista a Michele Venturi, fondatore di Vero Fitness Studio
Come ti chiami?
Interview with Michele Venturi, Founder of Vero Fitness Studio
What’s your name?
My name is Michele Venturi, and I’m the founder of Vero Fitness Studio.
What’s your background?
My business partner Luca Romagnoli and I attended the same academic year at the Faculty of Exercise and Sport Sciences in Bologna. We both come from athletic backgrounds: Luca played football up to the Eccellenza level, while I played baseball in the top Italian league. After graduating, we both pursued various post-graduate training courses; I also became a certified Peakpilates instructor.
Who are your partners in this project?
My partner is Luca Romagnoli. You can call him a partner or associate, whatever you prefer… but without him, I’d be lost!
When did you decide to open a PT studio?
I had been searching for the right location for years, but the actual decision was made together with Luca at the end of the first lockdown in 2020.
Why did you decide to open a gym?
Opening our own fitness studio had always been a goal. We wanted to manage our work independently, without having to move from one facility to another during the day. We needed a place where we could express our own vision of training.
How did you choose the equipment partner for your gym?
We always envisioned a single-brand studio. We don’t like gyms filled with mixed-brand equipment—it feels like they’re just chasing the cheapest option. We already knew Xenios, having used their equipment in other gyms we worked in previously. We were convinced by their excellent quality-to-price ratio, sleek design, and equipment well-suited for personal training and cross training. Our goal was to create a well-designed, welcoming space—and we believe we’ve achieved that.
What were the biggest challenges you faced during the project?
The biggest challenge was undoubtedly timing. We decided to launch during the COVID pandemic—while most gyms were closing, we were talking about opening one. Many thought we were crazy. But now, almost five years later, we can say it was the right decision. We’re proud of what we’ve built.
How did Xenios support you in overcoming those challenges?
Xenios was involved from the design phase in 2020, thanks to the valuable support of Marco Bertasi, who sadly passed away recently. He worked closely with our architect Marco Tacchini, and together they were essential in bringing the concept to life. After the opening, Enrico has always assisted us with great professionalism. The after-sales service has been impeccable—on the rare occasions there were defective parts, they were quickly replaced, and we received immediate support when a part was missing on one of the stations. The assistance for the cardio machines was also excellent, even though they are not Xenios products.
What is the mission of your project?
We recently expanded the studio, less than four years after opening. Our mission now is to consolidate everything we’ve built and continue to improve. And if the opportunity arises to take another step forward in the future, we definitely won’t back down.
